We’ll all gather at 10 a.m. at the top of the Stairs on Merriewood at 5612 Merriewood for a group picture. This picture will be delivered directly to Claudette Ford, Director of the Oakland Public Works Department to demonstrate how the neighborhood values our stairs!

Please bring your gas weed trimmers, rakes, shovels, brooms, and other implements of cleaning. We will cut back the growth, rake off the debris on the stairs. Large plastic bags for vegetation removal will be supplied by the City of Oakland. The City will remove the collected debris!

During the cleanup, Jim Dexter (Stairs Captain) will assemble a list of needed repairs/improvements to be forwarded to the City of Oakland Public Works Department.
