Lower Merriewood Stairs Spring Cleaning Party
(Merriewood to Marden Lane to Thornhill)

We'll all gather at 10 a.m. at the top of the Lower Merriewood Stairs (at/near 5612 Merriewood) for a group picture (top of section #2 on this map). This picture will be delivered directly to Claudette Ford, Director of the Oakland Public Works Department, to demonstrate that the neighborhood values our stairs!

Please bring your gas weed trimmers, rakes, shovels, brooms, and other
implements of cleaning. We'll cut back the vegetation growth, and rake off
the debris. Large plastic bags for vegetation removal will be supplied by
the City of Oakland. The City will remove the collected debris!

During the cleanup, Jim Dexter (Lower Merriewood Stairs Captain) will
assemble a list of needed repairs/improvements to be forwarded to the City of Oakland Public Works Department.
